Gabrielle Fox was born on foreign soil. Daughter to an actress and a business man, she was very literally, born into show business.
Raised in the suburbs of New York City she remained a closeted writer for most of her childhood. Literally writing stories and hiding them in the closet. Gradually, a teacher or two would ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She wanted to be the first woman president. Her siblings and cousins informed her that it could never happen because, although American, her first breath was not. Devastated, she was forced at a young age to make a career choice, it was then that she revealed that she wanted to write. Bits and pieces of encouragement began to pile up until one day in college, a professor asked her, "what are you waiting for?" There was no reply. No reply for roughly a decade when she ran into another wise and kind teacher who believed in her talent. He was a playwright. She wrote one scene in a workshop. Just one scene and she discovered that she was a playwright too. That's what was missing.
Everything fell into place, the years of running lines with her mother, sitting in on rehearsals and making up dialogue all made sense. And now, her father's business sense seems to be kicking in, watching him network, market himself with amazing levels of success led her to produce many of her own shows, marketing them in the press and internet and remaining in contact with many of the talented people she has met along the way and now...the website.
Dreams come true. You cannot predict when the dream will reveal itself. Yes...if it reveals itself when you are young and smart enough to act on it, you are one of the lucky few. Whenever a dream reveals itself, it is our duty to grab it, hold onto it and chase it wherever it leads us. At any age. Dream on. And when you work hard and your dreams become realized. Dream again. "Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid"
